Bio

RESUME 11/1/04 DENNIS L. HOARE 8th Dan Isshinryu Karate. Dennis Hoare, born March 28, 1943 in Weehawken, New Jersey is a happily married father of two sons and a grandfather five times to date. Began Isshinryu Karate training in the Mercer Street Dojo in Jersey City in about 1963 under Sensei Don Nagle. Went to the military from 1964 to 1966 stationed in Maryland with the 523 Military Police. Trained in Goshin Do Karate Do for approximately four years and returned to Isshinryu when Sensei Nagle moved his headquarters to the Central Avenue Dojo. Assisted in running the Central Avenue Dojo from about 1980 until the death of Sensei Vince Manning, Sensei Nagle's second in command, and then was in charge of running the Central Avenue Dojo. The school was officially handed over to Sensei Hoare in about 1997 and is still operating today attempting to carry on Sensei Nagle's teachings. I support everything that is Isshinryu and welcome all Isshinryu practitioners to the dojo. I have tried to lead by example as far as competing in tournaments and attending seminars and expanding my knowledge base. I thank all of my instructors, students, friends, and family that have helped me in my study of the martial arts. DOJO address: Don Nagle's Isshinryu Karate
